FAQ
FAQ for Senra Radar
Common questions before you subscribe: which boroughs are live, what data Radar shows, how fresh it is, what £25/month gets you, how to cancel, and what is genuinely upstream-broken so you know before you pay.
What is Radar?
Radar is a single map for one London borough that pulls together every new planning application, street issue, crime incident, energy certificate, sold price, food hygiene rating, road accident, stop and search, petition, and planned roadwork. It refreshes every six hours. The free demo at radar.senraio.com is set to Hammersmith & Fulham.
Which boroughs are live?
All 33 London authorities (32 boroughs plus the City of London) as of May 2026. Each is a separate subscription. Hammersmith & Fulham is the free demo. For boroughs outside London (or a different country), email contact@senraio.com.
How much does it cost?
£25 per month or £300 per year per borough. Annual saves you £0 over 12 months but locks the price for the year. Stripe handles payment; you can cancel from your Account page at any time.
What data sources does Radar pull from?
| Layer | Source | Refresh |
|---|---|---|
| Planning applications | Council portals (IDOX, NECSWS, OcellaWeb, Northgate, Tascomi) plus the GLA Planning Datahub | 6 hours |
| Street issues | FixMyStreet (mySociety) | 6 hours |
| Crimes | police.uk | monthly (police publish with about 6 weeks lag) |
| Stop and search | police.uk | monthly |
| Energy certificates | EPC Open Data | weekly |
| Food hygiene | Food Standards Agency | 6 hours |
| Road accidents | DfT Stats19 | annually (DfT publishes about 6 months lag) |
| Sold prices | HM Land Registry Price Paid | monthly |
| Petitions | UK Parliament Petitions API | 6 hours |
| Roadworks | DfT Street Manager (push via SNS) | real-time |
| Companies | Companies House Free Bulk Data | monthly |
How fresh is the data?
For sources we control (planning, FixMyStreet, food hygiene, petitions), the cron runs every six hours so anything filed in your borough appears within a half-day. Roadworks are real-time via DfT Street Manager push notifications. The slower layers (crime, EPC, sold prices, road accidents) are paced by the upstream publisher; we are as fresh as their data allows.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — the demo on Hammersmith & Fulham at radar.senraio.com is free, no card required. Click any ward to see what your borough would look like. Paid boroughs unlock the same surface for that area.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The Manage Billing button in your Account page opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel, change plan, or update your card. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
Refunds?
We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods. If something is genuinely broken on our side — for example a data layer is down for more than a week and we cannot recover it — email contact@senraio.com and we will deal with it case by case.
What is the difference between the tabs?
Overview is a five-tile dashboard that summarises the borough at a glance. Issues is FixMyStreet street reports (potholes, fly-tipping, broken lamps). Planning is council planning applications with click-through to the official portal. Crimes and Stop and search are police.uk records by month and ward. Home sales is every Land Registry transaction in the area. Food hygiene is FSA inspection ratings. Housing energy is EPC certificates with the F and G properties flagged for MEES. Petitions is UK Parliament petitions where signatures are concentrated in your area. Planned roadworks is DfT Street Manager notifications. Streets is the synthesis view that joins every layer street by street.
Do you sell my data?
No. The Privacy Notice covers what we collect, what we do not, and how long we keep it. Short version: email, ward selection, session cookies, minimal product analytics. Nothing else.
What if I have a problem?
Email contact@senraio.com. Senra IO Ltd is a one-person operation right now, so you are emailing the founder directly; reply within a working day on weekdays.
Are there any known limitations?
Two upstream gaps you should know about before subscribing:
- Waltham Forest street issues — mySociety FixMyStreet has not accepted new Waltham Forest reports since November 2024. Historical reports are visible; new reports filed through other channels (the council's own myCouncil portal) are not. Every other layer for Waltham Forest is current.
- Hounslow planning detail enrichment — Hounslow's planning portal blocks cloud-IP scrapers, so detail-page fields (case officer name, applicant name) are missing on most rows. The application list itself is current and every row links out to the council portal where the detail is visible.
Both are upstream issues, not Radar bugs. Other boroughs (HF, Westminster, Wandsworth, Havering, Sutton) have full coverage.
Who runs Radar?
Senra IO Ltd, registered in England and Wales. The founder and sole engineer is Alfred Afriyie. Reach him at contact@senraio.com.
